Mr. Lester Quintana, will be offering a presentation on accelerating commercialization through public-private partnerships at Princeton University on Mid-InfraRed Technologies for Health and the Environment (MIRTHE) August 8, 2014 at 11am.
This informative presentation will discuss how the public sector, at all levels, can leverage the private sector’s marketing and purchasing power to rapidly increase the deployment of a wide range of technologies, products and/or services that benefit their taxpayers.
Mr. Quintana stated, “The successful commercialization of quantum cascade lasers in rapidly growing billion dollar markets such as personnel safety (homeland security and military), chemical/life sciences research, and medical devices (e. g. cancer and infectious disease detection) benefit from public-private-partnerships. More often than not, international, regional, and local governments face complex problems that require cost effective and efficient solutions under both fiscal and time constraints not often seen in large corporations or large government organizations. It is integral industry share–in an open and transparent way–how the public sector, at all levels can leverage the private sector’s marketing and purchasing power to rapidly increase the deployment of a wide range of technologies, products and/or services that benefit their taxpayers.”
